A simple and effective business manager program

Clear Business Manager provides a solid foundation for small to medium sized businesses in one robust and simple to use program. It can operate happily with one user on one PC and grow seamlessly to hundreds of users sharing and coordinating business activity over a network.

Clear Business Manager contains:

  • Contact Manager with transaction history,
  • Accounts including Sales and Purchase and Nominal Ledgers
  • Stock Control including stock movement histories and full stock ledger
  • Task Calendar
  • Job Processing:
    The job system can be as simple or as elaborate as needed. The simplest use of the job system is to treat each job as a list of items to which prices are attached. The system will then allow you to make an estimate/quote from the Job and finally an invoice/bill or bill. The more sophisticated features allow you to process a job through the stages listed below. The Job Settings for each job allow you to set which if any of the features below are switched on.
    • Specification:
      Accumulate job requirements from the client over a period of time until the job Specification Status is set to Specification Complete. The requirements can be listed, change, remove, mark as excluded, included, complete or incomplete. You can save a version at any points during the specification process
    • Planning and Scheduling
      Apply dates, times and durations to job items that should have this information. Add items of work to be carried out or items to be obtained. Add Usage counts for item units that will be consumed. Each item can have any number of units that it will 'use up'. This allows for resource planning
    • Quotation / Estimation:
      Freeze or save a version and produce a quote or estimate in print or as a file. Send this to your customer. There may follow some chopping and changing while you negotiate the final quote with your customer. You can save each version as you do this. Finally the quote is agreed
    • Progress Tracking:
      You can mark off items as completed, cancelled, on hold, delayed until etc. You can assign actual used figures against your estimated values. You can add notes. Until you mark the job as completed and than signed off
    • Billing/Invoicing
      Finally you can use the job to produce invoices or bills that contain all quoted items from the job or you can pick items to invoice if you will be billing in stages.

    Rich text based Notes are kept as shared data. These can be searched, grouped and categorised for easy library management. Notes can be attached to Contacts, Jobs, Tasks, Suppliers and Customers or held as separate documents. Times and dates attached to Notes allow historical data such as Contact histories can be kept and searched easily

  • Timeslots
    Multiple Timeslots can be attached to most things in the system eg a task can have a Start/End Date, an Earliest Start Date, and Actual Start Date, a final completion date etc as appropriate allowing you to view, search, filter prioritise, schedule and reschedule most elements in the system

Data is stored in SQL Server (SQL2005Express in the Free Version)
